New York City Register UCC Filings

Effective August 1st, 2016, the New York City filing fee for the filing of UCC’s with the New York City Register Office will now be considered a processing fee and not a filing fee and will not be refunded if the UCC is rejected.

Accordingly, all practitioners are advised to review these UCC’s very carefully before submitting them, either to us for filing or directly to the New York City Register for filing since the statuary fee for filing UCC (1 or 3) will not be returned if the UCC in not in recordable form.

The rejected UCC must now (after August 1st, 2016) be accompanied by an additional check for the filing fee etc.
